Pros for privacy coin buyers

  • Lists both ZEC and XMR with deep liquidity
  • Industry-low 0.10% / 0.10% maker/taker fees
  • Multiple fiat on-ramps including SEPA for EUR users
  • BNB staking further reduces fees by 25%

Cons for privacy coin buyers

  • Not available to US residents at all
  • Binance.US is a separate entity with different coin listings (no XMR)
  • ZEC was on Binance's Monitoring Tag during 2025 and was removed July 9, 2025; ZEC remains fully listed as of April 2026
  • No formal HQ, which creates jurisdictional ambiguity

Privacy coin support

ZEC listed with USDT, BTC, EUR, and USDC pairs globally. XMR was globally delisted on February 20, 2024 and is no longer available on Binance anywhere.

Listed: ZEC
Shielded ZEC: Not supported

What you pay at different purchase sizes

Purchase amount Binance spot

Binance Convert
1.00%
$100 $0.10 $1.00
$1,000 $1.00 $10.00
$10,000 $10.00 $100.00

Stated exchange fees only. App and instant-buy methods typically add a spread on top of the quoted price that can exceed the stated fee itself.

Spread warning (Binance Convert): Binance Convert uses spread-based pricing, typically 0.5-1.5% above spot.
Pro Tip: Always use a limit order on Binance spot. The Binance Convert quotes a price 1-3% above the real market rate on top of the stated fee. On a $1,000 purchase that is $10-30 in hidden cost. Place a limit order at or near the current price on Binance spot and you pay only the maker fee. This one change saves more than any fee comparison on this page.

Fiat on-ramp

SEPA free or low-cost (EUR). Card 1.8%. P2P marketplace available for many local currencies.

Methods: SEPA, Card, P2P

Frequently asked questions

Can US residents use Binance?

No. Binance.com blocks US residents. Binance.US is a separate US-registered entity with a much smaller coin selection and does not list XMR.

Does Binance support shielded Zcash?

No. Binance uses transparent t-addresses for ZEC withdrawals. You would need to shield the coins yourself after withdrawal.

Will Binance delist ZEC?

ZEC remains listed on Binance as of April 2026. Binance placed ZEC on its Monitoring Tag during 2025, then removed the tag on July 9, 2025 after Zcash added TEX address support (ZIP 320) that lets Binance confirm funds came from transparent sources. No delisting has been announced.

Is Binance safe for XMR trading?

Binance is the largest exchange by volume and has strong trading infrastructure, but it faces ongoing regulatory pressure in multiple jurisdictions. Withdraw to your own wallet rather than leaving XMR on the exchange long-term.

What fiat currencies does Binance accept?

Binance supports SEPA for EUR, card payments in most currencies, and P2P marketplace trades in many local currencies. Bank transfers vary by jurisdiction.
